What happened?

Shares of data storage solutions provider Everpure (NYSE: P) jumped 2.6% in the afternoon session after the company announced that it jointly developed the Cisco AI POD with FlashStack alongside Cisco to provide infrastructure for enterprise artificial intelligence factories. According to Everpure’s blog, the Cisco AI POD with FlashStack for Secure Enterprise AI Factories is a Cisco Validated Design aimed at moving customers from AI pilots into production inference — where capacity contention, model versioning, multi-GPU serving, and recovery after failures become the real constraints. The stack combines Cisco UCS compute, NVIDIA accelerated compute, Cisco Nexus networking, Everpure FlashBlade//S500 storage, Portworx, and Red Hat OpenShift/OpenShift AI into a pre-validated path for model serving and operations, with Red Hat AI Factory with NVIDIA positioned as the recommended software layer. Storage and data design are central to the pitch: FlashBlade for shared file/object model access, Portworx for Kubernetes-native volumes, and Pure Key-Value Accelerator for a persistent distributed KV cache that integrates with vLLM and NVIDIA Dynamo to cut repeated prefill work on long-context and concurrent workloads. Everpure also highlighted related technology demonstrations at GTC Berlin, underscoring an expanding hardware and data-architecture footprint across enterprise machine-learning environments.

The shares were trading at $131.01, up 3.5% from the previous close.

What is the market telling us

Everpure’s shares are extremely volatile and have had 47 moves greater than 5% over the last year. In that context, today’s move indicates the market considers this news meaningful but not something that would fundamentally change its perception of the business.

The previous big move we wrote about was 7 days ago when the stock dropped 7.6% on the news that a broad pickup in energy expenses lifted September inflation to 3.7%, surpassing expectations and driving bond yields higher. The hotter-than-anticipated inflation reading dampened market sentiment across Wall Street, weighing heavily on major benchmark indexes and pulling equities down from recent highs. When inflation accelerates, it often increases expectations that borrowing costs will remain elevated for an extended period to curb economic overheating. Elevated interest rates can compress corporate valuations, particularly across growth sectors such as technology and semiconductors, where future earnings expectations play a central role in pricing. Semiconductor shares faced extended pressure, marking their seventh consecutive session of declines as market participants recalibrated risk appetites. Beyond higher financing expenses, persistent energy-driven inflation risks squeezing operating margins and weakening broader enterprise spending. Investors are continuing to evaluate whether persistent price pressures will lead to tighter financial conditions and prolonged headwinds for capital-intensive industries.

Everpure is up 89.8% since the beginning of the year, but at $131.01 per share, it is still trading 16.5% below its 52-week high of $156.97 from October 2026. Investors who bought $1,000 worth of Everpure’s shares 5 years ago would now be looking at an investment worth $4,989.

ONE MORE THING: The $21 AI Application Stock Wall Street Forgot. While Wall Street obsesses over who’s building AI, one company is already using it to print money. And nobody’s paying attention.

AI chip stocks trade at ridiculous valuations. This company processes a trillion consumer signals monthly using AI and trades at a third of the price. The gap won’t last. The institutions will figure it out. You need to see this first. Read the FREE Report Before They Notice.
