Lerner and Rowe will give away FREE backpacks with school supplies at the Yuma County Fairgrounds on July 23, 2025. The event features face painting, a balloon artist, free ice cream, and swag for anyone who sings the Lerner and Rowe jingle.
-- Lerner and Rowe Injury Attorneys is pleased to announce that the firm is once again hosting a FREE backpack giveaway to support disadvantaged school-aged children in Yuma. Families are invited to attend this fun, indoor back-to-school event on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Yuma County Fairgrounds (2520 E. 32nd St., Yuma, AZ 85365). To help students start the school year off right, 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 4:00 p.m., while supplies last. K-12 students must be present to receive a backpack.
In addition to the backpack giveaway, families can enjoy a variety of free entertainment, including face painters and a balloon artist. To help everyone beat the summer heat, an ice cream truck will also be on-site, handing out free sweet treats while supplies last.
The fun doesn’t stop there! Kids and adults who sing the iconic Lerner and Rowe jingle during the event will also score a free swag item, because nothing helps celebrate a new school year like music, prizes, and plenty of smiles.
For everyone’s safety, families are kindly asked to remain in their vehicles until the event begins and to be mindful of pedestrians and other vehicles when entering and exiting the parking lot, as well as when lining up at the venue.
"Increasing expenses are making back-to-school preparation difficult for many families,” shared attorney Kevin Rowe. “Our free annual Yuma backpack and school supplies giveaway is one way we can help ease that burden and make sure local youth have the essential tools they need to achieve their educational goals. For three years now, we’ve donated a total of 2,500 backpacks to support students in this community."
In 2025, Lerner and Rowe will give away 6,700 total backpacks filled with school supplies to students in seven cities across the country, including Yuma, Phoenix, Tucson, Bullhead City, Albuquerque, Las Vegas, and Chicago. Yuma marks the fourth stop on this year’s giveaway tour. These free events are just one of the many ways the firm supports local kids and families.
