Identy.io Expands U.S. Law Enforcement and Government Presence with Executive Hires

Joe Ferrigno, director of business development, and David Consoli, senior consultant, together contribute over 55 years of expertise in investigations and high-level governmental programs.

Identy.io, a leader in biometric identification, today announced the appointment of two seasoned executives to its leadership team: Joe Ferrigno as director of business development and David Consoli as senior consultant. Ferrigno and Consoli will work together to drive the company’s growth across new and existing sectors, including U.S. and foreign law enforcement, enterprise, government and public and private healthcare.

Joe Ferrigno, Director of Business Development

As director of business development, Ferrigno will shape Identy.io’s U.S. business strategy and accelerate global market growth. Ferrigno brings more than three decades guiding operational priorities at five major U.S. federal law enforcement agencies—including INTERPOL Washington (United States National Central Bureau), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General, U.S. Customs/Homeland Security Investigations, the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General and U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services.

David Consoli, Senior Consultant

With over 20 years of experience as a diplomat leading security and law enforcement initiatives in high-threat and conflict environments, David has directed operations leveraging emerging technologies to secure communities, advance justice and combat corruption across Latin America, Africa and Eastern Europe. He has worked alongside U.S. interagency teams and foreign partners to disrupt criminal networks and strengthen security and stability worldwide. His mission-driven approach and expertise in integrating technology into field operations position him to advance Identy.io’s partnerships with law enforcement and government agencies across the globe.

“At Identy.io, we believe security and user experience must go hand-in-hand, which is why our mission is to extend secure and trusted identity verification across all aspects of life,” said Jesús Aragón, CEO and co-founder of Identy.io. “Joe and David bring invaluable experience working directly with government agencies at the highest levels of justice. We are thrilled to have them both on the team.”

Identy.io’s mobile-first, device-agnostic biometric technology uses only the smartphone camera to capture fingerprints and faces — no scanners, no additional hardware. Its native software development kit (SDK), available for Android and iOS, enables easy integration of biometric fingerprint authentication into mobile apps, transforming regular smartphones into secure fingerprint recognition tools. The platform meets the highest international standards, including NIST SP 800-63, ISO 27001, ISO 30107-3 and FIDO2 for passwordless biometric security.
