Greater Good Health Announces Industry Veteran Tyler Jung, MD, as New Chief Medical Officer

Greater Good Health, a healthcare services organization, announced industry veteran Tyler Jung, MD, is joining its executive leadership team as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Jung will play a pivotal role as Greater Good Health expands its mission to advance value-based care and increase primary care access.

“I am overjoyed to welcome Dr. Jung who aligns so well to Greater Good Health’s mission and values,” said Sylvia Hastanan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Greater Good Health. “Dr. Jung brings deep experience and a long track record of success in value-based care, managing senior populations, building effective medical management infrastructure for risk bearing organizations, and developing world class primary care models.”

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jung will oversee Greater Good Health’s team of nurse practitioners, physicians, and healthcare professionals, ensuring they are providing the highest standard of care. Dr. Jung will also support clinical strategy and program development across Greater Good Health’s growing client base and primary care clinics. Dr. Jung has over 30 years of experience in managed care, most recently as Chief Medical Officer of Iora Health and One Medical Senior. Previously, Dr. Jung worked at Healthcare Partners and DaVita Medical Group, where he built care models to serve frail and vulnerable senior patient populations, an innovative idea at the time.

“Having worked with Dr. Jung in the past as an early investor in Iora Health, we are thrilled to welcome him to the team and believe he will add significant value immediately at Greater Good Health,” shared Victor Lanio, Partner at Flare Capital, and Greater Good Health board member.

Greater Good Health has developed core competencies that are foundational to value-based care and partners with risk-bearing organizations to deploy private-labeled integrated clinical services and medical management solutions. In addition, Greater Good Health opened primary care clinics in communities where physician shortages have impacted access to care for seniors, including Missoula, Billings, and Great Falls, Montana, with plans to expand in similarly access-challenged communities.

"Greater Good Health’s focus on revolutionizing healthcare from the inside out is what inspires me," said Dr. Jung. "I'm excited to work with a bright, gritty, and disciplined team, improving access and quality outcomes in communities of need.”
