The expansion comes as the Kingman area continues to grow, increasing demand for reliable, affordable storage. Prior to the expansion, all units at the facility were fully rented, with new customers often needing to wait for availability.
“We were full and turning people away,” said owner Jeremy Edwards. “That told us one thing. We needed more space.”
To meet that demand, Big Box Storage added 20 new units, all built to match the facility’s existing design and layout. The expansion maintains the company’s simple approach: one unit size, one price, and no complicated options.
All standard units measure 7 feet by 20 feet and are offered at a single monthly rate. Unlike many storage facilities, Big Box Storage does not raise rates over time.
“As long as you rent with us, your rate stays the same,” said Edwards. “We believe storage should be straightforward and predictable.”
In addition to new storage units, the expansion includes larger outdoor parking spaces designed for vehicles, trailers, and work equipment. These new spaces measure up to 40 feet by 13 feet, providing added flexibility for contractors, small business owners, and recreational users.
The facility serves a wide range of customers, from residents in transition to contractors who need a secure place to store tools and materials between jobs. The expanded capacity allows Big Box Storage to better support both groups without the delays that previously existed.
With the expansion complete, customers who were previously unable to find available storage now have immediate options. The company expects the additional units and larger parking spaces to help meet ongoing demand as the Kingman area continues to grow.
