BridgePeak Energy Capital, LLC (“BridgePeak”), a leading provider of commercial loan origination, servicing, and portfolio management solutions for regulated financial institutions and private credit funds, today announced the closing of a loan to Yampa Energy, LLC (“Yampa”) guaranteed under the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Business & Industry (“B&I”) Loan Guarantee Program. Pathward^®, N.A. (“Pathward”) funded the loan, with BridgePeak serving as lender service provider.

The loan financed Yampa’s acquisition of a producing oil and gas field in Caddo County, Oklahoma. The field is a shallow, low-decline waterflood in the Bromide formation, and the acquired production consists entirely of proved developed producing (PDP) reserves. Yampa plans to improve field economics by shutting off the highest-water-cut zones to reduce lifting costs and by reopening oil-bearing intervals in existing wellbores that have never been produced.

The B&I Loan Guarantee Program, administered by USDA Rural Development, is designed to expand access to private credit for businesses in rural communities. Under the program, USDA guarantees a portion of a loan made by a private lender, reducing the lender’s exposure and allowing capital to reach projects and borrowers that fall outside conventional bank credit parameters. The program continues to be a significant source of long-term financing for energy, agriculture, and manufacturing enterprises outside major metropolitan markets.
