SANTA CLARA, CA / ACCESS Newswire / September 21, 2026 / Litmus, the Industrial Data Platform for AI, today announced that it has been named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Global Industrial AIoT Platforms.

Hyperscalers are investing billions of dollars to build the AI infrastructure that will power the next wave of manufacturing. However, Industrial AI initiatives struggle to scale because factory data varies across sites and rarely arrives in a form that enterprise systems and AI can consume. Litmus provides a unified Industrial Data Foundation (IDF) that standardizes data pipelines across plants, making it ready for enterprise AI without rebuilding the architecture for each site.

"Being recognized as a Leader is a tremendous honor for us," said Vatsal Shah, Co-founder and CEO of Litmus. "We did not pivot to AI. We planned for it. Since 2014, we have been building for the factory data problem at scale, because that is what stands between a manufacturer's first AI success and their hundredth."

Litmus was named a Niche Player in 2024 and a Challenger in 2025. It believes this continued recognition reflects the sustained expansion of its IDF and strategic partnerships with other technology vendors shaping the future of AI. Strategic partnerships with Microsoft, Google Cloud, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake and others bring governed factory data directly into the analytics and AI services enterprises already run, ensuring the investment manufacturers have made in cloud and data reaches the plant floor.

"The next frontier of manufacturing is Industrial AI, and these systems are only as intelligent as the real-time data feeding them," said Praveen Rao, Global Director, Manufacturing at Google Cloud. "Litmus' approach to contextualizing data at the edge is what makes that intelligence scalable. It is a key industrial data platform for enterprises, providing the operational foundation that turns AI from conceptual pilots into factory-floor reality."

Litmus has also expanded its AI enablement and orchestration capabilities, working alongside NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Dell Technologies on the infrastructure that makes Industrial AI practical at the edge, giving manufacturers a continuous path to not just a data foundation, but an intelligence layer that powers the factory with data and AI.
