Utah-based nonprofit green bank joins growing platform of banks, CDFIs, and financial institutions offering C-PACE financing nationwide
PETALUMA, CA / ACCESS Newswire / March 25, 2026 / FASTPACE, the C-PACE lending platform operated by Allectrify, and SustainEnergyFinance (SEF), a Utah-based nonprofit green bank, today announced a new partnership that will expand access to Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing for commercial property owners, developers, and contractors across Utah. SEF joins a growing network of lenders, including CDFIs, regional and community banks, and national financial institutions, that are using the FASTPACE platform to offer C-PACE financing at scale without adding staff, systems, or overhead.
FASTPACE handles the complete C-PACE lending lifecycle, giving lenders a single platform for origination, closing, portfolio management, master servicing, and offtake. Financial institutions of all types can enter the C-PACE market immediately, with no new infrastructure or upfront cost required.
For green banks, CDFIs, and other community lenders already serving commercial real estate borrowers and clean energy markets, FASTPACE functions as a plug-in C-PACE capability. Lenders can begin referring borrowers to the platform as a first step, with a path to originating and funding their own C-PACE deals directly in accordance with their investment objectives.
For property owners, developers, and contractors across Utah, the partnership creates an immediate path to C-PACE financing for building improvement projects, particularly for small businesses, multifamily buildings, and other middle-market commercial properties. SEF enters as a capital provider and referral partner, with a clear runway to originate and fund C-PACE loans directly as its program grows.
"Green banks, community banks, and CDFIs are exactly the institutions that should be offering C-PACE financing. They already have the borrower relationships, the mission alignment, and the community trust," said Colin Bishopp, Chief Executive Officer of Allectrify. "What they haven't had is a turnkey way to do it. That's what FASTPACE provides. We're excited to welcome SustainEnergyFinance to the platform and look forward to helping them serve Utah's commercial property owners with a financing tool that's been out of reach for too long."
FASTPACE was built for exactly the market segment community lenders like SEF aim to reach: transactions in the $250,000 to $10 million range that most large C-PACE lenders do not serve efficiently.
"We help Utah builders and communities finance practical energy solutions that strengthen our state for generations to come. By joining the FASTPACE platform, we can immediately offer commercial property owners, small businesses, and developers a streamlined path to C-PACE financing. This partnership provides the turnkey infrastructure we need to scale our impact and bring long-term, low-cost capital to the middle-market projects that need it most." said Shawna Gabriela Cuan, CEO at SustainEnergyFinance.
C-PACE financing provides long-term, fixed- or adjustable-rate capital for commercial building improvements. C-PACE loans are secured by the property rather than the borrower, making it a structurally distinct and complementary option alongside traditional lending. C-PACE is available across a broad range of property types, including multifamily, industrial, hospitality, retail, office, and healthcare.
