-- How Technology Inc., a British Columbia-based software company, has announced the launch of "Be the Star," a new AI-powered feature available on BirthdayInvitation.ai that places the birthday person directly into the artwork of their own invitation.

The feature allows users to upload a single portrait photo of the birthday person. Using artificial intelligence, the platform generates a complete invitation where the individual becomes the central character within the chosen theme. It works across invitations for children, teenagers, adults, and milestone birthdays. Uploaded photos are used only to generate the invitation and are not used to train AI models. Be the Star is available now to all users, with a before-and-after demonstration at https://birthdayinvitation.ai

The announcement introduces a different approach to AI invitation creation. While many invitation tools rely on editable templates where photos and text are added as separate layers, BirthdayInvitation.ai generates the entire invitation as one AI-created image. This allows the uploaded portrait to become part of the illustrated scene itself instead of appearing inside a predefined photo frame or shape.

According to the company, generating the complete invitation in a single process enables a more cohesive design while preserving the selected theme. The result is an invitation where the birthday person appears naturally within the artwork rather than as a separate image placed on top of an existing template.

The new feature builds on the platform's existing invitation generation workflow. Users can create a personalized birthday invitation in under one minute, with every invitation including a unique QR code that links to an online RSVP page. Guests can scan the QR code and respond directly through any web browser without downloading an app or creating an account.

In addition to AI-generated invitations, the platform also offers a free RSVP service for people who already have their own invitation design. Users can upload an existing invitation and receive a QR code and online RSVP page to manage guest responses digitally.

BirthdayInvitation.ai also includes a gift wishlist system that allows hosts to add desired gifts, organize priorities, and reduce duplicate purchases by showing guests which items have already been claimed. RSVP responses and wishlist activity are updated in real time, giving organizers a clearer overview of attendance and gift planning.

The platform produces high-resolution invitations suitable for home printing and digital sharing. It currently supports eight languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, and Russian.

The service uses a pay-as-you-go credit model with no subscription required. Credit packages begin at USD 15, do not expire, and can be used for generating or editing invitations and other supported features.

"Parents have been able to put a photo on an invitation for years, but it always looked like a photo stuck on a card," said Guoxing Huang, Founder of How Technology Inc. "What we wanted was for the child to actually be in the scene, as the hero of the story. That is what Be the Star does, and it is only possible because we generate the entire invitation as one image instead of assembling it from layers."

Guoxing Huang founded How Technology Inc. in February 2025 after more than a decade building consumer mobile applications. He leads product development for BirthdayInvitation.ai.

The launch of "Be the Star" expands BirthdayInvitation.ai's feature set, which combines invitation creation, RSVP management, and gift wishlist functionality into a single platform designed to simplify birthday party planning for families and event organizers.
