Classy Games responds to player demand with expanded PC experience for Orbital, launching Q2 2026

Do not release before January 17th 2026
After more than 200,000 organic downloads and 180,000 hours of combined playtime on Android, Orbital is now beginning its journey to PC as Classy Games responds to clear player demand for a deeper, expanded and more intense experience accessible on Steam.
Originally designed as a fast-paced survival challenge where players could compete, compare survival times, and push their limits, Orbital quickly resonated with mobile audiences thanks to its short, intense and highly replayable gameplay loop. That early success made it clear there was an appetite for more. In response, Classy Games has rebuilt Orbital from the ground up for PC, aligning it with the growing demand on Steam for high-replayability, skill-based survival experiences.
"We wanted to create something people could jump into quickly, compete with friends, and keep coming back to. Seeing how
strongly players responded on mobile gave us the confidence to expand the experience and take it much further on PC."
— Jamie McClenaghan, CEO and Founder of Classy Games

A Reimagined Experience for PC
Orbital is an infinite survival challenge where you pilot entire planets to delay humanity's extinction. Outrun a supermassive black hole, master each world's unique technologies, push your limits to earn Quanta, unlock new planets, and climb the global leaderboard. One desperate second at a time.
The PC version of Orbital introduces expanded features designed to deepen strategy and replayability. Players can choose from nine distinct planets, each equipped with three unique planetary technologies that define how that planet plays, encouraging experimentation, mastery and strategic variety. Some planets emphasise control and defense, while others focus on mobility, environmental manipulation, or raw
survivability. Learning how each planet responds to player input is key to lasting longer against the inevitable grasp of the blackhole.
New dynamic hazards, including neutron stars, shooting stars,
wormholes, super nova and more contribute to the ever evolving cosmic onslaught, further reshaping each mission to be unique.
"We wanted every planet to have its own unique gameplay style. An adaptive environment which reacts to how each planet plays is what turns survival into skill."
— Jamie McClenaghan

Market Momentum Building Toward Launch
The survival and arcade genres continue to perform strongly in the global indie market, with players gravitating toward short-session games that reward mastery and repeated play. Orbital's blend of strategic planet technologies and constant pressure positions it well within this growing category. The project has also gained notable regional visibility, with Orbital showcased to His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar Al Saud during an industry event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Recently completing its public playtest phase, Orbital is working towards its next milestone: launching in Q2 2026. The title will continue to be a focus for Classy Games as the studio works to build engagement, hosting monthly in-game competitions and offering prizes for top Planetary Pilots. Wishlist growth and player engagement continue to increase as anticipation builds.
The PC expansion of Orbital follows Classy Games' selection for Exel by Merak, an $81 million accelerator and fund created by Merak Capital to support gaming startups across the region.
