JWMI Ranked #4 Online MBA Program by The Princeton Review

The Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University (JWMI) has placed #4 in The Princeton Review’s list of top 50 online MBA programs for 2025. This achievement marks the fifth consecutive year that JWMI has improved its ranking, the program’s highest ranking to date and its first placement in the top 5. This year’s list was based on a combination of administrator and student survey data, including career outcomes, technological infrastructure, academics and program satisfaction, among other factors.

“Being ranked 4th in The Princeton Review’s top 50 online MBA programs, our fifth consecutive year on the list, helps validate JWMI’s commitment to performance, leadership, and student success,” said Mary Carr, Senior Vice Provost and Dean of JWMI. “At JWMI, we don’t just teach business—we build leaders. And we’re proud that The Princeton Review continues to recognize the impact of that mission."

The Princeton Review’s 2025 list of the top 50 online MBA programs included the opinions of students received through an online MBA student survey, as well as institutional data shared by administrators at a range of business schools. Surveys for both students and administrators were developed with the help of an advisory board formed for this project in 2014. The survey for school administrators, which evaluated more than 30 fields, covers admissions selectivity, graduation and retention rates, faculty training and credentials, technological infrastructure, student indebtedness, and career outcomes among other items. The survey for students, which also evaluated more than 30 unique fields, allows students to rate their faculty, their fellow students, career preparation, academics, the technology platform and overall satisfaction with their programs.

“JWMI’s No. 4 ranking reflects the dedication of our faculty and the ambition of our students, and together they define what makes JWMI a premier MBA program,” said Dr. Antoinette Farmer-Thompson, President of Strayer University. “We remain committed to equipping students with the tools, skills and confidence they need to lead with impact throughout their careers.”

Since becoming part of Strayer University in 2011, JWMI has grown rapidly and graduated more than 4,900 students. Founded by the renowned CEO and business icon, the late Jack Welch, JWMI was designed to provide students with opportunities to learn from business leaders and propel their careers forward. Jack Welch’s influence spans the curriculum, faculty, students, and administration. JWMI currently enrolls a population of approximately 1,800 students, representing over 79 countries. In addition to The Princeton Review, JWMI’s online MBA program has previously been recognized by Poets & Quants, CEO Magazine, and Top MBA.
