TAMPA, Fla. - April 8th, 2025 - Florida’s leading addiction treatment center, Sophros Recovery, is excited to announce the launch of its Spanish-speaking virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) on April 21st. This new program was created to better serve the members of Florida's Spanish-speaking population who need recovery support.
The launch of the Spanish-speaking virtual IOP program comes less than a year after Sophros Recovery launched its virtual therapy program in October 2024.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 22.2% of the households in Florida reported Spanish as the primary language spoken at home. As a leading provider of addiction recovery and treatment in Florida, Sophros Recovery understands the importance of accessible care and created the new program to assist more individuals without a language barrier.
“After hearing demand from our communities, Sophros is proud to expand access to care with our Spanish-speaking virtual IOP,” says founder and CEO Nick Padlo. “Recovery should never be limited by language, and this program ensures that more individuals can get the help they need in an accessible and supportive format.”
The Spanish-speaking virtual IOP program will maintain the same format as Sophros Recovery’s current treatment program, integrating 10 weeks of evidence-based therapies, group sessions, individual counseling, and other essential resources for recovery.
The program is customized to accommodate the individual patient’s lifestyle. The team at Sophros Recovery believes that one size does not fit all when it comes to addiction treatment. The launch of the Spanish-speaking virtual IOP program signifies the team’s continued commitment to providing individualized treatment programs that meet all clients where they are.
“Our mission has always been to help people regain their lives and meet people where they are at,” says Padlo. “Our newest program reflects our commitment to inclusive, high-quality treatment for everyone in our Florida communities.”
