Never Give Up Day Awards on August 18
More than 80 cities across the US and Canada proclaim August 18th, 2023, as Never Give Up Day.
Baltimore, MD - The Never Give Up Day Mayor's Awards are honors presented by city Mayors, recognizing the perseverance and determination of citizens who work for the common good and providing the structure that protects and serves our communities. These people deserve to be commended and encouraged to never give up on their mission.
"Nothing is more valuable than presenting a distinguished award to those who face their challenges with grit and determination," says Alain Horowitz, Global Director of Never Give Up Day.
The difference between a Never Give Up Day Award and any other recognition, he adds, is that on Never Give Up Day you don't get an award because you've won, but you get an award because you never give up, and that's why you'll win.
These are the criteria whereby people can be presented with a Never Give Up Day Award:
- You have demonstrated an unusually high level of success in spite of adversity and setbacks.
- You have demonstrated an act of great moral courage to your family, community or city
- You deserve encouragement for fighting back against a personal or common struggle
