Berenji Divorce & Family Law Group has added attorney Juan Carlos Moran to its legal team, strengthening the firm's capacity to handle complex, contested, and high-conflict family law matters throughout Southern California. Moran joins as a senior supervising attorney, marking the latest step in the firm's continued expansion under founder Hossein Berenji.
Moran brings more than a decade of legal experience, with a practice focused on complicated and contested family law disputes. His background includes substantial litigation, courtroom, and trial work spanning divorce, child custody, move-away disputes, child and spousal support, domestic violence restraining orders, parentage, property division, and post-judgment proceedings. He has developed case strategy, conducted discovery, prepared and argued contested motions, handled evidentiary hearings and trials, and negotiated settlements while advising clients through high-conflict matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Moran practiced with prominent Southern California family law firms and served as a senior trial attorney. He also founded and operated his own law practice, managing cases from initial consultation through final resolution. Fluent in English and Spanish, he can represent and communicate directly with a broader range of clients across the region.

Moran earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a minor in Spanish, and a Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School. He also holds a Business Law Certificate through the USC Gould School of Law and is a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy, Art and Social Thought at the European Graduate School. His public-service background includes selection as a San Fernando Valley Bar Association Family Law Public Interest Fellow, receipt of the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services, and prior teaching at the People's College of Law.
