Berlin, Germany - September 14, 2026 - WallEX made its debut at IFA 2026, held in Berlin from September 4 to 8. Developed by the WallEX Team, the solution is designed to help spaces understand user needs and coordinate connected devices as a whole. Built on the SpaceMind AI Agent architecture, WallEX used real-world demonstrations to show how AI interaction can move beyond digital interfaces and into physical spaces.

As the number of smart devices in homes, hotels, and offices continues to grow, managing them individually is becoming more complex. With AI-powered contextual understanding, environmental sensing, and multi-device coordination, WallEX allows users to express their needs in natural language without naming specific devices or defining each step. The system then coordinates multiple devices across the space to respond.

At the booth, visitors can experience this approach firsthand by describing what they want in everyday language. SpaceMind interprets the scenario intent and plans the required tasks, while WallEX coordinates the devices within the space to execute them. For example, when a user expresses a preference for an ocean-inspired atmosphere, the system can coordinate devices throughout the space to respond accordingly. Within the WallEX ecosystem, Nurmina ambient lighting series supports Matter and receives scene commands generated by SpaceMind based on its interpretation of user intent. It turns users' abstract descriptions of atmosphere into dynamic lighting effects that create the desired ambiance within the space. Lighting is no longer limited to fixed parameters, but becomes a medium through which mood can be understood and expressed.

As the core AI architecture behind WallEX, SpaceMind integrates capabilities including intent understanding, spatial perception, task planning, memory and decision-making. It adopts a dual-routing, dual-model architecture, enabling simple smart space controls to achieve response times of approximately 700 milliseconds, while more complex scenarios can leverage large language models for deeper decision-making. Equipped with millimeter-wave radar, the system provides centimeter-level spatial positioning and state recognition without requiring image capture. Millimeter-wave radar can provide reliable sensing even in low-light or smoky conditions, supporting spatial awareness while helping protect user privacy.

WallEX supports widely used protocols including KNX, Zigbee, Matter and Bluetooth, enabling connectivity across different types of smart space devices. The solution has already been deployed in overseas residential and hotel projects. At The Pinnacle Jamaica, for example, WallEX covers 140 residential units and 200 hotel guest rooms. It enables interconnected control of lighting, curtains, air-conditioning and sensors, alongside offline voice capabilities and multilingual interaction. At the Bunyan Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, WallEX supports natural interaction in Arabic and English and connects lighting, ambient lighting, sensors and the hotel room management system. At JI Hotel Mekong in Vientiane, Laos, WallEX provides a Chinese-English bilingual smart room experience, with core capabilities supporting offline operation.

At IFA 2026, WallEX demonstrates how AI can reshape interaction by bringing AI into physical spaces. Looking ahead, WallEX will continue to advance its product capabilities, expand ecosystem compatibility and broaden its applications worldwide, bringing smart space solutions to a wider range of living and working environments.
