Re:Build Manufacturing today announced the launch of U.S.-assembled lithium-ion battery packs for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) applications, now available for purchase through Re:Build’s website.

Re:Build’s mission is to ensure the next generation of important products is made, at scale, in America. This means not just designing, but producing hard tech like drones, where the company is helping close the gap between designing a UAV and scaling its production to the thousands of units defense programs now demand.

Designed and assembled at Re:Build's advanced manufacturing facility in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, the battery packs are built using a secure, NDAA-compliant supply chain and non-FEOC battery cells. The product portfolio includes battery packs across the company's Core, Power, and Performance series, offering solutions for commercial, industrial, public safety, and defense UAV platforms.

Re:Build's Pennsylvania facility is a 175,000-square-foot brownfield site that the company revitalized as part of an $81 million investment in New Kensington alongside the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Richard King Mellon Foundation, Regional Industrial Development Corporation (RDIC), and Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation (WCIDC). With plans to expand the site's footprint as production scales, the facility is expected to create up to 300 advanced manufacturing jobs and is one of more than a dozen Re:Build sites nationwide.

The battery product launch is part of a broader scale-up of Re:Build's drone manufacturing capabilities in Pennsylvania, where the company is standing up high-volume production lines spanning Groups 1, 2, and 3 unmanned aircraft systems.

Demand for secure, non-FEOC supply chains is growing as drone manufacturers and operators scale commercial and defense UAV programs. Re:Build provides a trusted, U.S.-based source for production-ready battery systems backed by advanced engineering, scalable manufacturing, and AS9100 and ISO 9001-certified quality systems.

"Our customers need battery solutions that deliver consistent performance, reliable supply, and the ability to scale alongside their programs," said Peter Jacobson, General Manager of Re:Build Battery Solutions. "This offering provides drone manufacturers and operators with access to high-performance battery packs backed by U.S. assembly, NDAA-compliant sourcing, and the engineering and production capabilities of Re:Build Manufacturing. Our New Kensington facility demonstrates our commitment to strengthening Pennsylvania's defense industrial base and creating advanced manufacturing jobs in the Commonwealth."

In addition to its standard battery offerings, Re:Build offers custom battery pack and battery management system (BMS) development services for drone manufacturers and defense and commercial programs with application-specific energy storage needs. The company supports customers from prototype development through full-rate production with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain resources designed to scale alongside growing programs.
