The Electric Rebirth 2023 – Circuit des Platanes Perpignan – 8 Hours Endurance Race

(May 28-29, 2023)

The EcoGP 2023 series kicks off in France, with the first race taking place on the historic Circuit des Platanes Perpignan at Roussillon. This event, supported by the Automobile Club du Roussillon and the City of Perpignan, will be held during the Pentecost holidays, making it the perfect excuse to extend the weekend and relax on the nearby beach.

Teams will compete in an 8-hour endurance race on a 2.54km track, with one or more drivers per team. With a charging limit of 11 kW or 22 kW (yet to be confirmed), teams will need to carefully manage their resources to stay ahead in the competition. Fans will be entertained during an unforgettable event that combines endurance with the latest in e-mobility technology.

Transilvania Motor Ring  – A Vampire-Slaying Endurance Race Like No Other!

(September 2-3, 2023)

The second race of the EcoGP 2023 series will be held in Romania, on Transilvania Motor Ring, a track that has improved its electric infrastructure to allow more cars to charge in parallel. This event will also include test drives offered by different car dealers, making it an excellent opportunity to experience the latest in e-vampirology.

Teams will race through the night in the 24 hours challenge on a 3.7km track, with at least three drivers per team required (four or more recommended). But the excitement doesn’t end there. Located in the heart of Transylvania, the track is surrounded by stunning landscapes and rich history. One of the must-see attractions in the area is Bran Castle, famously known as Dracula’s Castle.

Visitors can take a day trip to the nearby Bran Castle and explore the medieval fortress, which dates back to the 14th century. The castle is steeped in history and folklore, and its connection to the legendary vampire Dracula has made it a popular tourist destination.

The Ultimate E-Mobility Event and Biggest Tesla Parade Record Attempt (September 30 – October 1, 2023)

The Eco Grand Prix team is set to organize a world record-breaking e-mobility event from September 29th to October 1st, 2023 in collaboration with e-Cup Germany and e-Series. Fans are invited to an action-packed weekend featuring races ranging from 1 to 24 hours, finishing with the Guinness World Record breaking attempt for the longest Tesla parade.

To ensure more cars can charge in parallel, the pit lane has been extended, and car enthusiasts will have the chance to test drive different electric vehicles from various car dealers.

From September 30th to October 1st, ecoGP teams will face off in a grueling 24-hour race on a 2.15km track, with each team requiring three drivers (four or more recommended) to compete. Join us at Circuit Meppen for an unforgettable experience of high-speed action and thrilling challenges.

The event will feature test drives, finger food, a restaurant, exhibitions, ecoGP for kids, Q&A sessions with experts, networking, and much more.

Eco Grand Prix is a series of races organized since 2013 led by CEO Rafael de Mestre. Rafael’s historic trip around the world in 2012 in an electric car inspired him to create Eco Grand Prix, with the aim of promoting sustainable and eco-friendly mobility. EcoGP’s focus is on endurance and efficiency, making it unique among racing events. This approach means that participants do not need fast charging stations or futuristic batteries to compete, but rather a well-planned and energy-efficient approach.
