Philadelphia, PA—Claytor Noone Plastic Surgery is pleased to announce that Philadelphia Plastic Surgeon Dr. R. Brannon Claytor will be a featured panelist at this year’s meeting of the national plastic surgery organization, The Aesthetic Society, in Austin, TX from March 21–23. Dr. Claytor will speak on the panel, “Raising the Bar: The Latest Innovations in Abdominoplasty,” where he will share his expertise on high-definition abdominoplasty—an advanced approach to tummy tuck surgery that refines abdominal contours, preserves lymphatic function, and can dramatically improve both aesthetic and functional patient outcomes.
“When it comes to abdominoplasty, achieving a more contoured and athletic appearance is at the top of every patient’s mind, right next to recovery,” Dr. Claytor said. “My high-definition abdominoplasty technique streamlines both.”
High-definition abdominoplasty integrates precise liposuction and a discontinuous undermining technique to sculpt and tighten the midsection while preserving Scarpa’s fascia, a connective tissue critical to the body’s natural lymphatic drainage. By keeping this layer intact—and thus maintaining much of the existing network of lymphatic vessels—Dr. Claytor’s technique can often eliminate the need for surgical drains and shorten recovery time. Patients may experience fewer complications, a quicker return to daily activities, and a more contoured abdominal appearance.
“The entire body has a very rich network of lymphatics,” Dr. Claytor explained. “Traditional abdominoplasty often removes or disrupts this tissue, which is why drains have historically been used to collect fluid at the incision sites. By preserving Scarpa’s fascia and using strategic liposuction, we’re able to maintain lymphatic drainage while achieving a sculptural, high-definition result.”
The Aesthetic MEET is one of the most prominent gatherings of plastic surgeons in the country, with thought leaders and innovators coming together to share the latest research, technology, and best practices in aesthetic medicine. This annual forum sets the standard of care for plastic surgery, fostering professional collaboration and driving advancements in techniques that benefit patients worldwide. Dr. Claytor will appear as a panelist alongside fellow plastic surgeons Todd Pollock, MD, C. Bob Basu, MD, and Richard Zienowicz, MD, with panel moderator Al Aly, MD. He will also instruct the course on Deep Plane Facelift, a superior facelift technique he is renowned for, at the event.
In addition to serving on the panel and instructing the Deep Plane Facelift course, Dr. Claytor will be receiving the prestigious Tiffany Award for Best Scientific Presentation for his 2024 conference presentation, “Nanofat Rescue following Aggressive CO2 Treatments and Microneedling for Peri Oral Rhytids,” which detailed his facial rejuvenation treatment to enhance skin regeneration and reduce lines around the mouth.
Dr. Claytor’s commitment to sharing these advanced techniques with colleagues is part of a larger passion for education and collaboration in plastic surgery. Through conference presentations and an active online presence, he helps other surgeons refine their approaches and encourages evidence-based innovations that improve patient care.
“I want to help patients everywhere benefit from the most up-to-date and proven technology and methods,” Dr. Claytor says. “By teaching other surgeons about our experiences with high-definition abdominoplasty, we can collectively raise the standard for outcomes and patient satisfaction.”
