(Cwennen Corral - Staff Reporter - USA Digital Network - Natural Products Review) - Great River Milling, acquired by Enrich Foods and now part of Columbia Grain International, is set to launch certified climate-friendly rice at Expo West.

It is the first consumer product funded by USDA's Collaboration for Climate-Smart Commodities  initiative to hit shelves and has broad application across the U.S agriculture industry.

Grown and produced in America, climate-friendly rice represents a revolutionary advance in sustainable agriculture, from finance to field, to shelf and plate.

“We’re setting a new standard and bringing the first product funded by USDA’s Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities initiative to market,” shares Jeff Van Pevenage, President, and CEO, Columbia Grain International.

“In partnership with AgriCapture, an agricultural technology company that provides solutions to climate change and USDA funding, we will bring 50 million pounds of domestically grown Certified Climate-Friendly rice to households across the country in 2024.”
