COCONUT CREEK, Fla., Aug. 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Willis Lease Finance Corporation (NASDAQ: WLFC) ("WLFC" or the "Company"), the leading lessor of commercial aircraft engines and global provider of aviation services, today announced the expansion of its global maintenance offering through the purchase of land to build a new Willis Engine Repair Center® (“WERC®”) in Johor, Malaysia.

The facility will be the Company’s third WERC®, in addition to existing facilities in Coconut Creek, Florida and Bridgend, Wales. WERC® facilities provide critical maintenance, repair, and storage services for the Company’s owned engine portfolio and third-party assets, playing an important role in WLFC’s integrated aviation platform. WERC® Malaysia extends WLFC’s proven engine repair center model into Asia, building on the Company’s successful operations in the United States and United Kingdom.

Malaysia’s strategic location, skilled aerospace workforce, established aviation ecosystem, and strong logistics infrastructure make it an ideal base for WERC® operations and enhance WLFC’s ability to deliver integrated services throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

“The establishment of WERC® Malaysia marks a significant milestone in the expansion of our global footprint and underscores our commitment to one of aviation’s fastest-growing markets,” said Austin C. Willis, Chief Executive Officer of WLFC. “As demand for engine maintenance continues to rise worldwide, expanding our in-house restoration capabilities through WERC® improves efficiency, strengthens our services offerings and brings us closer to our customers across the Asia-Pacific region.”

WLFC has partnered with South Alliance Sdn. Bhd. on the purchase of land and development of WERC® Malaysia. Construction is currently anticipated to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
