Atlanta, GA - March 23, 2026 - Survivor advocate, author, and founder Victoria Cuore continues to expand the reach of A Contagious Smile Academy, a trauma-informed education platform focused on supporting survivors, caregivers, veterans, and families working to rebuild their lives after trauma. The academy evolved from A Contagious Smile, which began as a grassroots initiative to support individuals in crisis. The academy now offers more than 100 courses focused on trauma recovery, caregiving support, advocacy, and practical life skills.
Victoria’s work is shaped by her personal experience. After surviving severe abuse while pregnant and going through more than one hundred surgeries, she began rebuilding her life with a focus on healing and helping others facing similar circumstances. What began as an effort to support others gradually grew into a larger venture aimed at making recovery resources more accessible.
Much of A Contagious Smile’s work has been sustained through the personal commitment of Victoria and her husband, Michael. For more than 20 years, Victoria has not taken a personal paycheck from either A Contagious Smile or A Contagious Smile Academy, with all proceeds reinvested into scholarships, program development, and resource expansion. Over the past six months alone, the academy has provided more than 500 scholarships to individuals seeking access to its programs – reflecting growing demand for trauma-informed resources and community-based support.
In addition to its educational programs, A Contagious Smile has expanded its outreach through advocacy initiatives and podcast programming, strengthening its ability to support survivors, caregivers, veterans, and special needs families worldwide.
Both A Contagious Smile Academy and its founder, Victoria Cuore, have received international recognition for their impact in trauma recovery and survivor advocacy. The Academy has been honored as a leading trauma-informed platform, including Best Trauma Recovery and Advocacy Program in the United States from Evergreen Awards and Best Support Network for Special Needs Families from Global Healing Coalition. Victoria Cuore was also named Best Transformative Trauma Advocate of 2025 by Insider Weekly.
In addition, Victoria Cuore was personally honored by CEO Times with the 2026 Best Lifetime Humanitarian Award for Survivor Advocacy and Empowerment. She will also be recognized in April 2026 as one of the Top 30 Most Empowering People of 2026, highlighting her continued global leadership in trauma informed advocacy and survivor support.
