About the Author
Christophe Medler was born and raised in Hillingdon, West London, in the United Kingdom. He now shares a home near Devizes, Wiltshire, and an apartment in Ilfracombe, North Devon, with his wife and their dog, Scarlet. Before turning to fiction, Medler was an AMP graduate of Harvard Business School and a qualified accountant. He worked as a corporate trouble-shooter in the printing and publishing industries.
After retiring, Medler was encouraged and inspired by his then fiancée, Lyn, a former events and marketing manager, to pursue his lifelong ambition of writing a novel. His debut, Madrigal, A Closely Guarded Secret, set against the backdrop of the English Civil War, was reviewed to critical acclaim. He later wrote Vengeance for a Fallen Angel, a murder mystery set in North Devon in the 1960s with psychological and occult undertones, introducing Detective Rick McCarthy of North Devon CID.
