  • Final assays pending, followed by updated gold and silver JORC Mineral Resource Estimates (MRE)

Barton Gold Holdings Limited (ASX:BGD)(OTC:BGDFF)(FRA:BGD3) (Barton or Company) is pleased to announce further notable assays from 'Phase 2' upgrade drilling at its South Australian Tunkillia Gold Project (Tunkillia).

Further broad, shallow high-grade infill assays from Tunkillia's 'Starter Pits' appear to reinforce the theory for new, shallow high-grade mineralisation targeted by Barton's 'Phase 2' drilling expansion. This could potentially increase the grade profile of this mineralisation for Tunkillia's upcoming PFS, with material implications for the project's already very robust modelled economic returns.

Barton is still waiting for a final batch of 'Phase 2' drilling assays. Following receipt, Barton will then prepare comprehensive and representative cross sections for Tunkillia, and progress to gold and silver MRE updates. Full details can be accessed in the complete announcement on the ASX website or directly by clicking here.

Commenting on the new Tunkillia assay results, Barton Managing Director Alexander Scanlon said:

"Tunkillia's infill drilling assays continue to surprise to the upside, with the latest results providing further support for a new 'bonus' zone of high-grade mineralisation sitting on top of that already modelled in the high-value 'Starter Pits'.

"We are advancing Tunkillia through pre-development programs as quickly as possible, following recent Government approval of its environmental Scoping Report as a first step in its Mining Lease application processes. We look forward to completing gold and silver Mineral Resources updates, our PFS, and a Mining Lease application in the near future."
