The LNG Opportunity in Canada: Employment Prospects and Requirements outlines some planned and proposed LNG projects and focuses on the operations and maintenance jobs that would be required once the liquefaction plants and associated port facilities are up and running. This includes the potential size and makeup of the workforce, as well as detailed profiles of specific occupations with their required skills and qualifications.

An emerging LNG sector is poised to play a role in Canada's economic recovery and growth, with a typical plant operation directly employing 200 to 350 workers. Each project will also create thousands of indirect jobs to support the development of natural gas and in construction and other industries that supply goods and services, such as repair maintenance, waste management, truck transportation, security and professional, scientific and technical services.
