GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO - August 12, 2026 - PRESSADVANTAGE -

Mountaintop Web Design has announced its partnership with Leevers Supermarkets, a 100 percent employee-owned grocery retailer, on the launch of a newly redesigned website. The site serves as the company's central digital platform across its store locations in Colorado, the Philadelphia area, and the greater St. Louis area, and is designed to reflect the retailer's history dating back to 1938.

The project addressed Leevers' need for a unified online presence capable of representing several distinct store banners and a wide range of communities across three metro markets. Mountaintop Web Design led strategy, design, and development throughout the engagement, working with the Leevers team to organize the site around its store locator, community initiatives, and employee ownership model. The redesign was also shaped by the company's stated mission of providing high-quality groceries at affordable prices while fostering connection through employee ownership, a set of priorities the new site was built to communicate clearly to visitors from the outset.

"Working with the Mountaintop team was a great process," said Jon Koontz, President and COO of Leevers Supermarkets. "We're thrilled with the way our new website turned out."

Leevers Supermarkets was founded in 1938 by Norm Leevers in Devils Lake, North Dakota, and is now led by the fourth generation of the Leevers family. The company operates under several banners, including Save A Lot, Save A Lot y Mas, Ahorra Mucho, Locavore, and El Mercado de Colorado, tailoring each store's product assortment to the neighborhood it serves. Leevers is structured as an employee stock ownership plan, giving eligible employees shares in the company and a direct stake in its growth. That ownership structure also informs the company's approach to hiring, with career opportunities framed around building a team of employee-owners rather than filling traditional retail positions. The company is headquartered in Castle Rock, Colorado.

Mountaintop Web Design approached the redesign with an emphasis on making Leevers' multi-banner, multi-market footprint easy to navigate for shoppers, prospective employees, and community partners alike. Particular attention was given to the site's store locator tool, which allows visitors across five states to find their nearest location by banner and region. The build also accounted for Leevers' multicultural and bilingual customer base, reflected in banners such as Ahorra Mucho and El Mercado de Colorado, ensuring the site's structure and navigation serve a broad range of shoppers.

The redesign also prioritized mobile performance and cross-device consistency, given that many shoppers locate nearby stores from a mobile device. Mountaintop Web Design noted that for a multi-banner grocery retailer operating across several regions, a clear and reliable digital experience plays a direct role in how effectively customers can find and engage with their neighborhood store.

The new site also incorporates content highlighting Leevers' work with local vendors and its participation in community events within the neighborhoods each store serves. According to Mountaintop Web Design, translating an employee-ownership model and a hyperlocal community focus into a cohesive digital experience required messaging that felt authentic to each banner and market rather than a single generic corporate voice applied across the board.

The website is now live and accessible to the public. Leevers Supermarkets intends to use the platform as its primary hub for store information, community engagement, and career opportunities, with updates expected as the company continues to grow across its Colorado, Philadelphia, and St. Louis markets.
