-- A new graphic released by www.sportsinsider.com, has analyzed X data in the last 24 hours (since the AP ranking came out) tracking tweets, hashtags, and direct keyword phrases about which teams are considered "overrated." For example, phrases like "Alabama is overrated," "LSU is overrated," "Miami is overrated," etc. Over 80,000 "overrated" tweets were tracked.
As you can see from the graphic, Alabama, Texas A&M, and LSU are the top 3 fan picks for the most overrated teams.

The reasons for this are plenty, including SEC attrition, however it also includes roster turnover, strength of schedule, and position depth.
Here is the breakdown by numbers (number of "overrated" tweets):
Alabama - 7637
Texas A&M - 6639
LSU - 6592
Miami- 6376
Georgia - 6275
Ole Miss - 4826
Washington - 4667
Houston - 4596
Texas - 4321
Michigan - 4162
Utah - 3567
Indiana - 3192
Tennessee - 3114
Penn State - 2879
BYU - 2349
Oklahoma - 1693
Oregon - 1531
Ohio State - 1283
Louisville -1108
USC - 1103
Iowa - 1058
Notre Dame - 1007
Texas Tech - 656
Missouri - 627
SMU - 623
Sportsinsider does these "overrated" social media studies every year when rankings come out, and generally teams like Notre Dame are near the top, however that doesn't seem to be the case this year. Ohio State also seems to be fairly low on the "overrated" scale, given how fans have treated their rankings in the past.
Again, the graphic was put together by the guys over at www.sportsinsider.com (any link attribution would go to them). They do sports based trends maps and graphics every month.
