Dr. Sutter will join a once-in-a-lifetime Arctic voyage timed to coincide with the total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026. This extraordinary 14-day expedition, scheduled for August 2–15, 2026, will position guests aboard the Sea Spirit directly within the path of totality over the pristine Arctic waters of Greenland.
The 2026 total solar eclipse will trace a narrow path across the Arctic, with Greenland offering optimal viewing conditions. The eclipse will last up to 2 minutes and 18 seconds during totality, creating a rare opportunity to witness this astronomical phenomenon against the dramatic backdrop of Arctic icebergs and glaciers.
