The Northeast Power Coordinating Council, Inc. (NPCC) has appointed Chong Kiat (CK) Ng to its Board of Directors.

CK is the Chief Operating Officer of New Brunswick Power. Appointed to the role in April 2026, he is accountable for Operations and Finance, including Generation, Transmission and Distribution, Finance Operations, the Energy Control Centre and System Operations, Engineering, and the Enterprise Project Management Office. He also provides executive oversight of the Mactaquac Life Achievement Project.
CK brings more than 26 years of electricity-sector experience and a strong record of leadership in engineering, asset management, investment planning, capital project delivery, field operations, and business transformation. He began his career at Manitoba Hydro working across the full lifecycle of alternating and direct current transmission-line engineering, permitting, and licensing, design, estimating, procurement, construction, maintenance, and research and development. He also served on national standards committees.
After leaving Manitoba Hydro, CK spent 16 years at Hydro One, progressing from technical positions to senior executive leadership roles. His responsibilities spanned engineering, capital project delivery, customer service, asset management, investment planning, rate applications, power stations maintenance, distribution lines maintenance, large scale power restoration, and the leadership of major technology and business transformation initiatives.
CK is a Professional Engineer and holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Manitoba, as well as an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto.
