Author Amanda R. Potts is preparing to introduce young readers and families to Ray's Summer at SandPlant, a joyful children's book inspired by treasured summers spent camping, swimming, exploring, and making memories with loved ones.

She listens to warnings about slippery rocks, remains in shallow water when she feels unsure, watches for snakes near the swimming areas, washes her hands before meals, and follows her parents' guidance throughout the day. Amanda R. Potts was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia. Amanda lives with her boyfriend, Travis, and their three cats, Luna, Elly, and Tobias. Becoming an author has long been one of Amanda's greatest dreams, and Ray's Summer at SandPlant is her first book.
