I have not been a fan of Carl over the years on the blog (easy to go search), but now that I see him as an old man in context of all the work, I almost like him.

Two of my Phoenix nephews (Reuben and Eli) and I had our monthly steak dinner last night and Reuben mentioned that he watched it and learned a few things about the market and investing. We chatted about it and it was fun to hear him pull the right things from it.

I remember Icahn taking to Twitter in 2012 to say he owned a ton of Apple and the stock went up a lot. This is what I had predicted would be a key use case for Twitter back in 2007. His daughter had come up with the genius idea and was in charge of all the tweets.

Between her social media skills and Carl’s son urging him to buy Apple and Netflix, the pressure is on Rachel and Max to help support their old man play golf and crack wise on Twitter (or Truth Social after Twitter screws things up) well into his nineties.

Life is good.
