I am fascinated by the Trump SPAC Digital World Acquisition $DWAC.
Everything physical Trump (casino, football team, airline, water, steaks, Presidency) ends with a horrific loss, lawsuits, turncoats and a lot of zero’s.
Unlike Trump physical things that disappear, this digital thing he has attached himself too will not go away. Sure there will be horrific losses, lawsuits and executive turnover but let’s be honest…that sounds a lot like Twitter too.
Building a Twitter clone is not hard in 2022, so no matter how many bugs the product has, it will exist and thrive.
Once the SPAC is complete, there is no way this company will be called ‘Truth Social’. He will put his name on it.
If you want a sense for how hard it will be to stop cloud based, digital, platformed, networked Trump spend a few minutes each day on the Stocktwits $DWAC ticker stream. It is IMPOSSIBLE to curate or manage (much like $AMC or $GME) and so you just watch it to get a sense of the rage, fear and hate that people have attached to red, blue, right, left, Biden and Trump. I also get a few chuckles.
People ask me why I do not like certain people and this ticker stream explains it. Trump could care less what mess he leaves behind or where he leaves it and indirectly this mess of a ticker stream is mine. This current mix of Trump and money and Wall Street and government (SEC) is already the grossest mix of all (I have seen a lot of ticker stream messes over the years).
I would like to believe and say that even Trump could f@*k up digital…but he can’t.
Like tobacco and Twitter, this new manifestation of Trump is here to stay.
