Good morning everyone.

Yesterday was a glorious day for golf at Pebble Beach.  Intense sun and clear skies, light breezes and 70 degree weather.

I woke up and wrote that I hoped to break 85.

My Stocktwits, Twitter and blog community had a lot less faith with the average score lobbed in at 92.

I had also asked my followers if they thought I would par 18 and it was an overwhelming no.

I set out to both break 92 and par 18.

Things were goin insanely well through 8 holes and I missed two makeable birdie putts on 7 and 8 that if I had made would have put me at 1 under par on the 9th tee.

Instead, I doubled 9 to finish with a 38.

The back nine was a mess as I doubled 10 and dragged myself around the back to land on the 18th tee needing a birdie to break 80 and a par to have some bragging rights.

I proceeded to hit my worst drive of the day (about 80 yards), and 2 bunt rescue clubs to give me 135 yards into a tucked pin. I hit a high floating 8 iron right at the pin for my best shot of the day and had a 20 footer for a par which I missed for inches and an 81.

What a day.

Max had a blast and was of course blown away by the walk and scenery.

He played the back tees and fired an 80 and is looking forward to Spyglass today.

Here we all are on 18 – Paul and Eric Traub and Me and Max…
