Sober Living Parties showing people fun in recovery is possible

Sober living program provider Real Deal is showing that recovery doesn't have to be boring with their sober parties. The free events are available for everyone in the recovery community in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Texas, United Kingdom - February 17, 2020 / /

For many people recovering from drug or alcohol addiction, socializing becomes difficult. One sober living community in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Real Deal, is aiming to change that with their sober living parties.

Social events are often centered around the consumption of alcohol, and it's not uncommon for various drugs to be present too. This means that socializing and maintaining a circle of friends while in recovery can be difficult, especially as many people may feel the need to disconnect from their previous social circle. However, Real Deal shows that being sober doesn't have to be boring with their sober parties.

Sober parties allow people to socialize without the presence of alcohol or other substances. They allow people with addiction issues to relax and focus on having fun with others instead of worrying about the temptation of drinking or taking drugs. There is often a perception that parties without alcohol are boring, quiet, or slow, but Real Deal is showing that they don't need to be any of those things. A sober party removes the pressure of others offering and sometimes even pushing alcohol, without the stigma of having to reveal addiction issues that attendees may not be ready to discuss with others.

Real Deal is a sober living program provider based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They have sober living homes in Northeast Dallas, Plano, and Richardson, which serve as halfway houses for those looking to transition between rehab and the "real world." Real Deal offers a range of services, including therapy, and diet and exercise advice. The organization also allows pets at some of its locations, allowing residents to bring their best friends and benefit from the comfort and routine that they bring.

All of the staff members at Real Deal have personally experienced addiction and use their experience and training to provide long-term solutions for recovery. Real Deal aims to show that recovery is possible through the transformation of mind, body, and spirit using a 12 step-based program. They offer two programs to choose from, the Barebones program and the premium Signature program, which offers further perks such as all food, gym membership, and a bus/Dart pass. Real Deal also offers limited scholarships for those who are eligible.

Real Deal's sober living parties are available for free to anyone in the Dallas-Fort Worth recovery community. There is no need to be a resident in their houses to participate in the events. Anyone interested in the parties can get in touch with Real Deal to find out about upcoming events.
