While studying at UCLA, she earned a place in the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health.
Shortly thereafter, she earned her medical degree from the University of California Irvine School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Pathology Chairs Honor Society. During her medical program, she received both the Milton T. Kaplan Memorial Outstanding Student in Immunology Award and the prestigious Dean's Scholar Award.
In order to continue to stay abreast of the latest medical techniques and treatments, Dr. DeFelice went on to complete her internship in internal medicine at the UCLA Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. As a Maryland native, she returned to the East Coast to complete her residency in dermatology at the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at NYU Langone Health, where she served as chief resident.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the doctor is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and regularly presents her dermatologic literature at national dermatology conferences.
