This cast aluminum enclosure is made to hold electrical equipment up to 16” by 16” by 16” and can be used indoors or outdoors where flammable gases, vapors, or dusts may be present.
The EPL-AEB-16.16.6-1X2TC explosion proof enclosure is made of sturdy cast aluminum with stainless-steel bolts and a weatherproof gasket for a NEMA 3R and 4 protection rating. This enclosure is also rated NEMA 7 (Groups B, C, and D) and NEMA 9 (Groups E, F, and G) and rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C, and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB+H2 and IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2.
Larson Electronics’ explosion proof enclosure features one 2” NPT hub in the center of the lid and has external dimensions that measure 20.38” long by 20.38” wide by 9.19” high. This device weighs about 127lbs and allows for a maximum of 36 (six rows of six) operators on the lid. Suitable applications include chemical manufacturing plants, power plants, paint spray booths, and more.
