WASHINGTON/LOS ANGELES, Jan 22 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump slapped steep tariffs on imported washing machines and solar panels on Monday, marking his first moves to erect trade restrictions under seldom-used trade laws that allow unilateral actions.
