New York, NY, USA – Fashion 4 Development & C.L.A.S.S. Eco Hub are pleased to announce the launch of a sustainability series with the Italian Culture Institute of New York scheduled to be held on October 18-22 in New York City. The event will feature a discussion panel on hot topic, the launch of ReCLothe platform, followed by a unique showcase of LINEAPELLE presentation “A NEW POINT OF MATERIALS”, representing a selection of leathers and materials, produced by leading suppliers who have integrated sustainability & innovation in their business processes and products.

“The Sustainability series will feature an amazing lineup of experts who will be sharing their views on one of the hottest topics for industry and contemporary consumer: responsible innovation,” says a spokesperson at Fashion 4 Development. “We will be talking with Mr. Fabrizio Nuti President of Unic, the association of Italian tanneries, about the meaning of responsibility of Italian leather industry where design, art, heritage ,investment in new generation of processes, integration of SDG from United Nations into the strategy are delivering a new generation of industry and products. Following this, Ferragamo will share their strategy about sustainability and responsible leather. And talking about TRANSPARENCY of systems, we will have an interesting Anteprima: the presentation of “STRACCI“ a documentary directed by Tommaso Santi who also screenplayed it with Silvia Gambi that tells the sustainability of fashion by looking at it through the eyes of those who have always recycled clothes and used textile scraps to transform them into raw materials. A journey that starts from Prato, the world capital of recycled wool, and goes around the world, discovering the impact on the planet of the excessive consumption that the world of fashion has become used to. Andreas Röhrich – Global Director R&D and Sustainability, Wolford would share their 5-year journey on how they developed the capability to offer cradle to cradle intimate, exclusive, beautiful, performing, circular economy-based products.”

And this event has another exceptional news to share: “The ReCLothe Platform”, the most extensive global supply chain center of expertise that will serve as a useful resource to inform and educate the fashion and lifestyle industry professionals and students about the new generation values of the circular economy, thus making a significant impact on the value chain.

This platform has been created by Fashion 4 Development and C.L.A.S.S. Eco Hub to support the United Nations Office of Partnerships for the Sustainable Development Goals. Both Fashion 4 Development and C.L.A.S.S. Eco Hub are recognized as top leaders with extensive experiences working from broad perspectives to advance the sustainability transformation

The ReCLothe platform will feature current innovators highlighting the best practices & solutions for textile and manufacturers, pushing the industry towards a greener and more sustainable standard. The platform will lead members into scalable and more responsible manufacturing processes, driving responsible innovation practices across all aspects of the supply chain, measured and proved.

The major highlight of this event is the launch of the presentation “A NEW POINT OF MATERIALS”, which is a journey to discover leathers, materials and technologies that represent responsible innovations and values that the contemporary consumer is looking for.

LINEAPELLE’s presentation “A NEW POINT OF MATERIALS” is all about discovering and sharing innovative and responsible materials. The main objective of highlighting LINEAPELLE in the event is to share with the visitors “informed” stories about the level of innovation, performance, and responsibility of each material. Something key to be able to activate a conscious choice.

A NEW POINT OF MATERIALS aims to be a significant space for discovery, in-depth analysis and information where you can participate and learn how leathers and materials can concretely deliver the concept of responsible innovation. It’s a space that perfectly conveys an exciting combination of technology and craftsmanship, tradition, and avant-garde.

A NEW POINT OF MATERIALS offers an accurate selection of leathers and materials based on an evolving “green” content throughout their production cycle: starting from the strategic vision of each company on responsible innovation all the way down to the smart transformation of performing products capable of satisfying a new generation of values.

A NEW POINT OF MATERIALS is organized by LINEAPELLE in collaboration with C.L.A.S.S. & F4D Solutions.
