Annual Shareholder Meeting is May 15
Get ready to attend this years Annual Meeting of Shareholders the Companys Board of Directors recommends voting FOR the election of the nominees in Item 1 and the proposals in Items 2 through 6.
The Annual Meeting of Shareholders is Tues., May 15 at 8 a.m. at the John S. Knight Center in Akron.
Company shareholders as of the March 16 record date should have received the FirstEnergy proxy materials to vote via the Internet, phone, or by completing and returning their proxy card/voting instruction form through the United States Postal Service in the envelope provided. The Companys Board of Directors recommends voting FOR the election of the nominees in Item 1 and the proposals in Items 2 through 6, and AGAINST the shareholder proposal in Item 7.
This will be George Smarts final meeting as Chairman of the Board. As previously reported, he and Board member William T. Cottle will retire as of the Annual Meeting. Also, Donald T. Misheff will assume his role as Georges successor as Chairman of the Board, and this will be Sandra Pianaltos first Annual Meeting since joining the Board in February.
