Jersey City, Nov 23, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - On October 18th Yaniel Paulino's feature film GreyScale has acquired an award for Best Audience. Greyscales shines a light on the struggles of people who are going through the struggles of accepting the fact that they are going to be disabled. The drama focuses on a photographer named Alex who becomes colorblind and has to accept the fact that soon she will lose her vision. It weighs heavy on her creative being which pushes her to depression, outrage and suicide attempts. She's faced obstacles that test her faith, her strength and perseverance. Eugene is a freelance painter who falls deeply for Alex showing her tremendous love, affection and support. He becomes Alex's backbone as she struggles with her condition. Unfamiliar with these circumstances, he's almost at odds with the sacrifices he has to make in order to be with her.

The win has been a humbling experience for Paulino as he used the time in his speech to acknowledge family, friends, everyone who is involved in the film and God.

"I wanted this film to be an inspiration to people who are going through a struggle. That no matter what dark place you are in, there are people willing to support you and reach out," said Yaniel Paulino, film director of GreyScale.

Mental health has been a big spotlight in this film. GreyScale shows how disabilities and mental health doesn't just affect one person but the support system as well. Paulino made sure to include her relationship with Eugene. "Mental health can be very tricky and anxiety is very contagious. You can be helping someone and forget about your own mental health. I wanted to show how both sides can be affected." said Yaniel Paulino, film director of GreyScale.

Accepting the win, Yaniel made sure to plug in his upcoming Spanglish feature film Allgo D Valor. Which has been live on instagram since October 19th.

" My upcoming feature film is going to be huge. We have some well known Latinx influencers and actors in this movie. This film will be in both English and Spanish."
