'Historic' CDC order bans evictions through the end of the year. Here's what to know

The order temporarily halts residential evictions "to prevent the further spread of Covid-19." It applies to individuals earning less than $99,000 per year and couples earning less than $198,000. But housing advocates say it doesn't go far enough to prevent a housing crisis.
