HOUSTON - August 27, 2020 - (Newswire.com)

Ashton began concrete work for the 44-acre UPS Distribution Center Expansion project at 8330 Sweetwater Lane in Houston, TX. Ashton was awarded the concrete work earlier this year by General Contractor KBD Group.

Ashton’s commitment to the expansion project totals 1,100,000 cubic yards of poured concrete and roughly 850,000 square feet of tilt wall. Tilt wall buildings include one Distribution Center at over 650,000 square feet and three distribution support buildings.

“Ashton is thrilled to support KBD Group with concrete work on the UPS Distribution Center. For 10 years, we have been building Ashton’s Concrete Placement Division to support contractors like KBD Group on large, multi-phase projects that require extensive concrete work. The team and I are excited to be a successful partner on this project,” said Spencer Ashton, CEO of Ashton.

Kaz Jones, Division Manager adds, “Ashton is equally committed to supporting UPS on this project. It’s even more satisfying to start a project of this caliber when you are expanding a business so essential to the community, and the world, during this pandemic.” Ashton is completing concrete work at three UPS locations including the UPS Distribution Center in Bryan, TX and Stafford, TX.

Ashton is expected to complete work at UPS on Sweetwater Lane in 2022.
