Florida-based Discovery Senior Living has unveiled the company’s plans for a multi-million-dollar capital investment and renovation of Discovery Commons At College Park. The multi-phase project will bring sweeping interior and exterior improvements and a host of modern enhancements to the Indianapolis senior living community, which the company has owned and operated since July 2019.

The initial phase will result in a large capital investment, renovation and stylish, new seating and gathering spaces, including a welcoming Living Room & Reception Area, and an upgraded Lobby and Hospitality Area. Interior enhancements will also include renovated bathrooms, new flooring, lighting, furniture and décor, as well as a fresh and modern color palette. In addition, substantial exterior improvements, new landscaping and a reimagined portico, entry and vestibule area will deliver a refreshing, new look and feel.

The initial phase is now underway, with completion slated for late summer. Apartment upgrades and enhancements have also begun, which allows residents to live in new, stylish homes with modern features. The second phase, which entails a designer, floor-to-ceiling renovation of the dining room, as well as functional enhancements to the community’s kitchen, design upgrades throughout the first-, second- and third-floor resident corridors, style enhancements to the third-floor Library, and new furniture for both the interior and exterior of the community, is intended to begin in late 2020.

We are bringing an active senior lifestyle experience to Discovery Commons that’s unlike any other in Indianapolis,” said Richard J. Hutchinson, CEO, Discovery Senior Living. “By offering beautiful, new spaces to meet and congregate, dine, play or just relax, we can better empower residents to enjoy the fun and freedom of independent senior living in a way that encourages optionality and personal choice and delivers a more customized experience overall.

Discovery Commons At College Park offers Independent Senior Living complete with dining, amenities and 24-hour service. The community has already unveiled a pair of stylish, new model apartment homes, and is now touring and accepting new residents. Special, discounted pricing has also been announced, enabling substantial savings for those who move in advance of the project’s grand unveiling.
