Amel Rose Gives Lovers of Hip Hop/Pop Something to Sing About With Release of New Singles, Tears for Ransom and Told a Lie on June 5 - Featuring Sharaya J and DJ Fredy Muks

LOS ANGELES - June 3, 2020 - (Newswire.com)

Right about now, the world really needs something to sing about. And right on cue, hip hop/pop recording artist, Amel Rose, is answering that call with the release of two new singles this week on Apple Music and other major streaming services.

The songs – Tears for Ransom and Told a Lie – showcase her versatile vocals and reinforce her status as a fast-rising talent with star power. The tunes are all the more engaging because of the creative collaborations behind them. Tears for Ransom features DJ Fredy Muks, the internationally acclaimed DJ, producer and songwriter, known for his mashups of popular hits with classic favorites. Rose teamed with Muks on her first two singles released in April and performed live on Instagram and Facebook with him that same month in celebration of first responders. The duo proved to be so popular, they’ve merged their talents once again.

With Told A Lie, Rose flexes her musical muscle by tapping into the talents of rap superstar and cancer survivor Sharaya J, known for her singles, BANJI and Smash Up the Place and her role on the Fox Network’s The Four: Battle for Stardom. The pair-up reinforces Rose’s instincts for how to best fuse different musical stylings to complement her soulful pop and R&B leanings. It also shows she can hold her own – and then some – when working with performers who are standouts in their own right, without being overshadowed.

“The world is in a state of unrest right now and I believe music has the ability to bring joy and peace during these troubling times. That really pushes me to keep creating and take artistic risks,” said Rose. “I am hoping these new singles resonate with my followers and help grow my family of fans.”

Rose grew up in Bellville, Texas – population 4,097 – before moving to Los Angeles – population four million – with her sister to pursue her music career. Her love for music blossomed early, inspired by her grandmother who introduced her to songs of an earlier generation through lullabies by night and classic vinyl spinning on the family turntable by day. Her debut singles, Your Story and Atrocity, were released in April and streamed more than 400K times.

Rose will perform in live acoustic appearances later in the year after the COVID-19 pandemic has eased restrictions on public gatherings. Both new singles will be available June 5 on Apple Music and other major streaming services. To pre-order Tears for Ransom, go to  distrokid.com/amelrose/tears-for-ransom.
