In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic, eVero Corporation has taken immediate actions to adapt our software systems to meet the demands of evolving guidance from governing organizations.

Recent regulatory changes authorize the use of Telehealth, or healthcare provided by remote means of telecommunications. This new guidance allows staff to support Individuals with Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) through phone or video conferencing. eVero designed, created, and released the eVero Telehealth Platform to support these changes, inclusive of the required data elements that will ensure compliance. With the health and well-being of our community as the guiding principle of our work, eVero’s goal is to keep our software solutions simple and compliant to ensure that documentation is not burdensome. By adapting existing workflows, the team was able to implement solutions with the least amount of disruption to our end users.

eVero Corporation’s industry-leading software platforms, EMPOWER and digitalAGENCY, are designed to support New York State’s Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) service delivery options. The eVero systems include all OPWDD regulatory, compliance, and quality components to support and improve processes, where all people involved in an Individuals’ circle of support (Brokers, Self-Hired Staff, Individuals, and Families) have ownership and accountability in the provision of services and gain transparency in its management. eVero currently partners with over 80 Provider Agencies across the state, which serve over 35,000 unique Individuals.

Along with creating Telehealth solutions, the eVero team has developed tools to help Provider Agencies quickly gather, retrieve, and format information required by OPWDD in response to new COVID-19 guidelines. We have streamlined the collection of qualitative and non-billable information, and automated the queue of billable retainer days based on the recommended requirements.

eVero has also created a hub for centralized information to post all updates, guides, registration for webinars, and other relevant information. This can be accessed by eVero clients via covid19.evero.com. Additionally, weekly webinars have created open and transparent communication as well as a forum for questions and answers.

The team at eVero Corporation understands this is a challenging time for all, and we will do our part in supporting agencies to be successful as they continue to navigate these uncharted territories. We will continue to offer enhancements to our technology solutions for not-for-profit and health and human services agencies throughout the entirety of this pandemic.
