He then went on to complete his internship within the Department of Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center, followed by his residency within the Department of Neurosurgery at the same educational venue. Thereafter, he completed his fellowships in diagnostic neuroradiology and neurointerventional surgery within the Department of Radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
A well-recognized leader in the field with over 150 research publications, books, and national appearances, Dr. Gandhi is board-certified in neurological surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, whose primary purposes are to conduct examinations of candidates who voluntarily seek certification and to issue certificates to those who meet the requirements of the board and satisfactorily complete its examinations. His various honors include Alpha Omega Alpha and the BrainLab Outstanding Clinical Study Award.
