Mixing God and Ammo?

Lexington, KY – January 16, 2020 – Of the 100,000,000+ gun owners in the United States of America, 25.4% of them are estimated to identify as evangelical Christians, based on a 2014 Pew Reseach Center survey. BulkMunitions aims to serve those evangelical gun owners by enabling them to fund Christian-based organizations through their “Ammo Tithe”. Every quarter, the company donates at least 10% of their profits to the Christain-based organization its customers had voted for over the past 3 months with their orders

Jamie Burns, the cofounder of BulkMunitions, emphasized the company’s core belief. “We believe God-loving and gun-owning Americans were being underserved as a part of the Pro-Second Amendment community. While there were other online ammunition retailers that donate a portion of their proceeds to Pro-2A organizations, we were never able to find one that supported our religious beliefs. While much of the retail in the world is shifting towards ecommerce, ammo sales appear to be on an even more accelerated transitional pace. While major sporting goods retailers like Walmart and Dick’s Sporting Goods curtailing or ending their ammunition sales, demand for loaded ammo in the United States does not appear to be lessening. In addition to there being less ammo available to purchase in stores, many buyers also prefer the ease and relative anonymity that comes with buying bulk ammo online. Based on U.S. franchise and excise tax reports, the commercial ammunition market is approximately a $2+ billion per year industry with around $500 million of those sales being done online in 2019 (as opposed to an estimated $100 million 10 years ago).
