Los Angeles based real estate developer Reuven Gradon, whose company Afton Properties has acquired, renovated and maintains numerous multi-family apartment complexes throughout Southern California, as well as the historic Desmond building in the downtown historic core district of the city, has launched a new website to highlight both the company’s growing portfolio of properties and to increase the visibility of his activities.
Los Angeles, CA – Real estate developer Reuven Gradon has launched a new website designed to highlight his accomplishments in the greater Los Angeles area real estate market and attract interested parties for further projects.
The site highlights the work of Reuven Gradon Developer who has been active in the Southern California Real Estate business for years, most recently as the president of Afton Properties.
In September, Reuven Gradon Acquisitions, through Afton Properties, bought a $132 million, eight hundred unit development in Lancaster called Sunset Ridge Apartments. The purchase of this property came less than a month after paying $54 million for a one hundred and seventy-eight unit housing community in the Inland Empire.
“We are excited to have acquired such an incredible asset and are looking forward to providing high-quality affordable housing,” said Gradon.
In addition to acquiring numerous multi-family apartment buildings in Southern California, Afton Properties also facilitated the renovation of the historic downtown Los Angeles Desmond Building, a six-story structure located at 612-616 South Broadway in the Historic Core, which Afton Properties transformed into approximately 85,000 square feet of rentable space.
The project required a budget of approximately $12-million and involved the restoration of both the 1920s low-rise structure and the addition of a seventh and eighth floor featuring a bar and a restaurant. Also working on the Desmond Building project were Los Angeles based architect Omgivning, which specializes in historic restoration. The renovation was based on an original design by A.C. Martin, which is highlighted by ornate terra cotta facade.
