Tulsa, Oct 15, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Since the passage of SQ 788 over a year and a half ago, getting your Medical Marijuana Patient card, has become easier, but the financial burden of paying your doctor to process your recommendation has remained cost-prohibitive for many Oklahoma residents. When this law was first passed, some patients had to pay upwards of $250 just to see the doctor and receive their recommendations, plus the additional OKlahoma Medical Marijuana fee of $104. Apco Med has committed to change all that. This Wednesday, October 16, 2019, all Oklahomans will have the opportunity to see a doctor and be evaluated for their physician recommendation for their patient card free of charge. This includes everyone, seniors, veterans, and minors with guardians. This free patient drive will be at Tulsa's Flower District, 2606 S Sheridan Road, Suite F, Tulsa, OK 74129 from the hours of 9 am to 6 pm.

Patients will still pay the OMMA processing fee of $104, but all physician and upload fees will be waived. This event is being produced by APCO MED for 2 reasons, to make patient cards available to every resident in Oklahoma and to celebrate this week's opening of APCO MED's new dispensary in Oklahoma in Tulsa's Flower District. The Flower District is the very first cannabis-friendly strip mall in the state of Oklahoma where cannabis use is not only permitted, but also encouraged.

According to Ford Austin and Shayna Marino, Founders of APCO MED, "We are so excited to have the opportunity to provide medical recommendations to all patients who have been unable to afford them in the past. It was so important to us, as members of the cannabis community in Oklahoma, to give back in some way as we celebrate the growth and expansion of APCO MED."

This week, in Oklahoma, the OMMA reported it passed the threshold of 200,000 licensed patients in its program with no signs of this trend slowing down. According to OMMA patient Crystal Turner, "Having my medical marijuana card and  access to regulated, fully-tested, safe products has made all the difference. I can medicate safely and confidently."

Important note for all planning to attend: Patients must wear a shirt that is not white and is without lettering or logos on it for their OMMA photo. Also, please bring proof of Oklahoma residency, such as a driver's license or ID card and your medical records if available. Come early and be prepared to wait as slots will fill quickly, and a large turnout is expected.

APCO MED, medical marijuana dispensary company, is an Oklahoma- based company, created by the great grandchildren of J. Steve Anderson, one of Oklahoma's biggest oil pioneers, responsible for the creation of Anderson Pritchard Oil Corporation (APCO Oil Corporation).
