London, Oct 12, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Suzanne Coen was admitted to hospital in July and underwent a medical procedure after swallowing a foreign object found in one of the prepared meals produced by Scratch Meals. On Thursday 10th October, food safety consultant and expert, Dr William Mason confirmed in a statement to the High Court, that the increase in risk of harm to the public caused by Sainsbury's if they continue to sell products from Grimsby based Scratch Meals.
"I have launched this online petition today in partnership with entrepreneur and activist Amar Lodhia to stop the increasing risk and frequency of someone being affected by Scratch Meals negligence to food standards" said Ms Coen.
It is reported that 18 foreign object complaints regarding Scratch Meals Fit Box (previously Fit Kitchen range) have been made regarding just one range in the past 12 months. It is known that Scratch Meals also sell other range of products in ASDA, Ocado, Co-op, Booths and Waitrose. Since May last year, members of the public have reported instances of glass, metal objects, pieces of plastic and stones being found in Scratch Meal's products.
Ms Coen said "By the current, increasing rate of these horrific complaints it is predicted that a significant number of people could be seriously injured or lose their life as a result of Scratch Meals and Sainsbury's negligence"
