After working in many clinical settings in his 20-year career and seeing firsthand how little time patients got to spend with the doctor, Dr. Robert J. Winn has opened his own private practice in Collingswood with the mission of putting patients first.
Dr. Winn quickly realized that most primary care offices put their bottom line first, focusing on the number of patients rather than the quality of care. This realization inspired Dr. Winn to start Real Wellness. His focus is on ensuring that each patient receives the best possible treatment. All appointments are at least 30 minutes long in order for Winn to focus on each patient and truly understand their concerns and determine the best way to help them achieve wellness.
With a broad focus on prevention and overall wellness, Dr. Robert J. Winn doesn’t just treat illnesses and disease. Dr. Winn’s focus is on treating the person, not just the ailment. As part of Real Wellness’ mission to connect with patients, Dr. Winn’s patients will have direct access to him any time they need him, either via phone or in the office. When a patient calls the office, they will speak with Dr. Winn directly. Dr. Robert J. Winn believes that medical care should be offered in a safe and trusted environment where patients feel cared about. Real Wellness is dedicated to creating that environment.
Dr. Robert J. Winn graduated from Hahnemann University School of Medicine, now Drexel University College of Medicine, in 1998. During his residency in the Department of Family Practice and Community Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Winn quickly recognized that good communication was essential to a patient’s health.
Part of the reason Robert J. Winn wanted to become a doctor was his desire to help those who are often unable to get the care they need. Dr. Winn decided to focus his practice on treating these vulnerable populations, many of whom only receive sporadic medical care throughout their lives due to their circumstances.
Now, as a family physician, he takes pride in being able to follow a patient throughout their health journey, watching them overcome the obstacles that once prevented them from becoming healthier and seeing them reach their goals.
